Identity 05
Daniel
Frankfurt • Olive cotton twill
I work in risk, so yes, I have a spreadsheet for holidays. No, I don’t think that’s strange. My investments are painfully boring; my Friday nights occasionally aren’t. I still end up at Tanzhaus West often enough to regret Saturday morning. I grow tomatoes in a Kleingarten with the same seriousness I bring to a credit model and have very strong opinions about Grüne Soße for somebody who claims not to care about food. People call Frankfurt boring. I’m quite happy if they keep believing that.

Design Notes
The jacket began with a slightly unreasonable question: if this were the only jacket you owned, what would it need to get right?
Seven samples later, the result is deliberately simple. Both faces are designed to function as the outside, never as an outer and a lining. The collar sits high enough to shelter your chin while leaving room for a scarf. The cuffs turn back to adjust the sleeve length. Zipped pockets become concealed storage when the jacket is reversed.
We gave the same attention to things nobody else sees. The pocket lining is exceptionally soft Italian viscose simply because your hands spend time there. Luxury usually concentrates on what other people notice. We were also interested in what the wearer notices.
We weren't trying to give you reasons to own four jackets. We were trying to make one enough.

Responsibility
We produce in small, considered runs rather than building volume for its own sake.
Reversibility is part of the same approach: designing more genuine use into one garment instead of multiplying products for every variation.
We avoid unnecessary synthetic additions and favour single-fibre materials where they make sense, with longevity considered both physically and aesthetically.
